CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL Chairperson Gray called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM. Board Present via Zoom: Bui, Dickmann, Gray, Johnston, Stengel McMullen (online at 4:31 PM), Emeritus Member: Martin, Youth Advisory Member: Lathia Board Absent: None Staff Present via Zoom: Sauerwein, Osada, Nations, Crickmore 2. ANNOUNCEMENTS 3. APPROVAL OF PARK BOARD MINUTES ACTION: Motion Stengel second Johnston and carried by a 6-0 vote. # - # 1. Park Board Meeting of May 19, 2020 Recommendation: Adopt. Staff Contact: Dawn Nations, Deputy City Clerk 4. PUBLIC COMMENT None. Fairweather Park Update — National League of Young Men will be at the park on June 17th to do park cleanup. 2. Seasonal Lifeguard Program Update — City is currently researching how to open the beach safely. Dock and ladders are currently closed. 3. Medina Parks Opening and Guidelines Update — Tennis courts are open. Playgrounds are due to open in Phase 2 per Governor Inslee's orders. Page 4. Sidewalk Hedge Trimming Update — Gray gave update from the City Council meeting - Council gave direction for Public Works dept. to hand out notices to residents of hedge trimming needing to be done. If not completed; the City will hire a contractor to complete the work at the resident's expense. 6. OTHER BUSINESS 7. PARK REPORTS Fairweather & Lid Stengel stated looks fine and blackberries need to be trimmed. Indian Trail Bui stated looks good. Grass good. Gray stated looks fantastic. Lake Lane Gray stated looks great. Martin added pruning looks great. Medina Beach Park Dickmann stated looks nice. Flowers look nice. Additional sand would be great. Six umbrellas will be put at picnic tables. Medina Park Gray stated grass looks awesome. Dickmann added looks great. Viewpoint Park Looks great.
