Category: Park Board Business
Staff Contact: Dawn Nations, Deputy City Clerk
Summary
At the May 16, 2022 Park Board meeting; the Board Members discussed the meeting start time.
It was determined that a later start time would allow for more flexibility for Park Board members
to attend the meetings. The Park Board would like to change the meeting start time from 5:00
PM to 6:00 PM for all future meetings. The Park Board would like to go dark every August
instead of every July. This would align with the City Council and other Boards and
Commissions schedule.
Attachment: None
Budget/Fiscal Impact: None.
Recommendation: Approve.
City Manager Approval:
Proposed Park Board Motion: “I move to approve the proposed Parks and Recreation Board
meeting time change from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on the 3rd Monday of each month and in conjunction
with the City Council, the Parks and Recreation Board will go dark every August and forward this
recommendation to the City Council for a Code Amendment at the July 11, 2022 City Council
meeting.”
