CALL TO ORDER: The regulmr meetof the Redinn City Council
was called to order at 7:30 PZ by Mayor Vall-
Spinosa. Tho mveting was tape recorded.

PRESENTATT'
Mayor Vall-Spinoso presented n plaque to retired Director of
Public Safety inglin in recognition of hiv 21 years of servic,�
with the City of Medina. A short r2ception followed.
The regular meeting resumed at 3 P4.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS NEE TING:
Reagan moved to accept the minutes of the Fpbruary 11, 1939,
meeting as presented, seconded by Goldstein, passed.

Lew Leigh, Executive Director of Wqshington Cities insurance
Authority was present to givo some bpokCrnund on how the Pool
operates and stated he is quite optimistic about its future.
There was a question and answer period.

David Plummer, Dellevue, w2s present to encourage ` he Council 10
get involved and oppose Eill HE1527, placement of child car-,
facilities at location convanieni to woring pnrents.
The Council took no action.

34th Ave, Street Ibprovement
Clyde Hill has adopted the striping of the 24th Agreement at
their March 7th meeting with the stipulation that the toms
project cost does not exceeQ $12,000 for Vedinn and Clyde NiQ.
Reagan recommended going ahead with this pl9n. He felt it woul,,_
reduce the traffic.
King moved to go ahead with the Striping Agreement with Clyde
Hill, Messmer seconded, passed unanimously.

City Manager's Reoort
City liana ,er Dodge submitted' ordinances on Burning Reg;ull�tions
and Requirements for Street Addresses to to Council for their
review for the April meeting. Ordinances for building permit f,,O
changes, sign ordinances and par':,, rules s""Ould also be ready for
consideration for the April meeting.
Dog Control
The City [Manager referred to a letter from "ink; County Executive
Tim Hill stating the Eastside Shelter closure. This prompted the
City Council to once again consider -,le.dina having their own (or
with surrounding towns) animal control
King County Executive Hill :,Iso asked tnc City's cooper,tion in
appointing a representat ive to be a member of an executive panel
on Animal Control s•ihic'1 swill -�drlIr,-,ss the issues of animal
sheltering, care and control for ing County Eastside. i'r. Bill
Mundt, Evergreen Point road, volu1teere(, tO represent the City at
the meeting.
Police Report
Lt. Nilson reviewed his repor'; concerning court filing fees. iiis
monthly activity report was accepted as prosented.
Financial Report
Accepted as submitted.
Claims Warrant
Goldstein moved to accept claims warrant 17 1-1367 and Payroll
larrants r10276-10312 for payment, :lathewson seconded, passed,

It was noted there "zas been diffiCult;y getting through by
telephone to TCI Cable Company with service calls from ',tedin
residents. The Council stated tiis should be tacen and--r
consideration when the Cable franchise comes up for r�,newai..
