CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the Medina City Council
was called to order at 7:00 PM by Mayor Cory.
The meeting was tape recorded.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Guyton, Hull, Kelly,
Potts, Scholl, Zubko and Mayor Cory
City Staff Present: City Manager Papke,
City Clerk Batchelor, Public Works Supt. Weigle,
Police Chief Race, City Attorney Wines,
Planner Burke and Building Official Erickson
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
Hull moved to approve the minutes of the September 13, 1993
meeting, seconded by Scholl, passed unanimously.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Dr. Bob Rudolph, 1455 Evergreen Point Rd., requested an update on
the status of the .jet noise issue.
Mayor Pro Tem Hull gave a brief review of the City's current ,jet
noise discussions with the FAA.
Discussion followed.
Herb Lyon, 8645 NE 7th St., was present to discuss his concerns
regarding enforcement of the building code, especially in -regards
to the section of the Medina Municipal Code that relates to the
Land and Tree Ordinance. He also suggested that the issue of the
local communities consolidating their police departments should
be considered.

Planning Consultant Burke reviewed the suggested revisions to the
Tree Preservation and Landscaping Requirements (Chapter 12.28) in
-response to the comments made at the last. City Council meeting.
He also reviewed the Planning Commission's recommendation to add
a new chapter to the Zoning Code dealing with view & sun
obstruction and tree removal.
Mayor Cory opened the Public Hearing.
