Re: No 5G service at 7715 NE 22nd St, Medina, WA
On May 4, 2022, I went to the T-Mobile store at Bellevue Square and traded in an iPhone 8 that
does not support 5G for an iPhone 13 that does. I was told T-Mobile had 5G coverage for
Medina, WA. The 5G coverage for my residence at 7715 NE 22nd St, Medina can be seen on the
coverage map: https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map.
On May 16, 2022, I called the 611 support line to say that I have been having problems with
phone conversations being broken and garbled and was showing only 1 or 2 bars of signal on
my iPhone. I was told there are no 5G towers in Medina and I was getting LTE instead of 5G
service. I have WiFi at my residence and so switched my cellular setting to use WiFi calling to
get better service. So basically, while at home I was not using any T-Mobile services. I was told I
would be given a $40 discount on my next cellular bill.
On June 3, 2022, I called 611 again about the same issue and was told I should expect to have
full 5Guc service by June 09, 2022.
When I still didn’t have 5G service on June 10, 2022, I called 611 again. I was told that they
could find nothing about 5G being scheduled for installation on towers in Medina. I was told
that it was not possible to continue the $40/month reduction in my bill even though I am not
getting the advertised 5G service.
When will my residence and the rest of Medina be getting the advertised 5G service?
