1. How does the City Council want to proceed?
a. Public Outreach and Input.
Council can direct staff to do more public outreach.
Open houses. How many?
Surveys.
b. Resolution.
Staff can create a resolution similar to City of Seattle.
Staff can create a new resolution according to Council’s direction.
Follow-up and Options: Gas-powered Leaf Blowers
c. Take action now
Council can move forward and direct staff to draft an ordinance to ban gas-powered leaf blowers.
Council can direct staff to replace the city’s gas-powered blowers with electric or battery-operated blowers within a specified timeframe.
d. Wait and see.
Council can wait to see if the state legislature or King County does anything in the future.
