CITYOFMEDINAORDINANCENO167ORDINANCEprovidingfortheissuanceandsaleofgeneral0bligationbondsofthecityintheaggregateprincipalamountof200000toprovidefundstomakecapitalimprovementstocertainstreetsinthecityprovidingthedateformtermsandmaturitiesofsaidbondsandforannualtaxleviestobemadewithoutlimitationastorateoramounttopaytheprincipalthereofandinterestthereonendcreatingafundfortheirpaymentWHEREAStheCounciloftheCityofMedinaWashingtonbyOrdinanCeNo160adoptedSeptember141964providedthatanelectionliIshouldbeheldwithinthecityonNovember31964forthesubmissiontoithequalifiedelectorsofthepropositionofwhetherornotthecityshouldlissueandsellitsunlimitedtaxlevygeneralobligationbondsintheaggregateprincipalamountof200000toprovidefundstopaythecostofimprovingcertainstreetswithinthecity7andWHEREASatSaidelectionthenumberandproportionofthequailfledelectorsofhecityrequiredbylawfortheadoptionthereoffvotedillfavorofSaidpropositionlandHEREASitisdeemenecessaryandtothebestinterestsofthecitythatsaidbondsbesoldandissuedtOprovidethefundsnecessaryforsaidprposeNOWTHEREFORETheCityCounciloftheCityofMadinsWashingtonDOORDAINasfollowsiofprovidingfundstopaythecostofimprovingportionsofEvergreeniPoinROad6hAvenueNE84thAvenueNEsouthofNE12thNE12thadOthesretsjecityonwhichraiacollectsfromlesseTCStreetsforgeneralaccesstoandfrOmthecityasprovidedinOdinanceNo160adoptedseptember141964andasauthorizedbythequalifiedelectorsofthecityataspecial1electionheldthereinon 7hebodauthlzehereinasthesameshallbecomedueThecityffurtherirrevocablycovenantsthatallsuchtaxessocollectedshallbepaidintosuchbondredemptionfundinamountssufficienttopaysuchinterestatleastthirtydayspriortothedatesuponQvhwhiohenysuchinterestorprincipalsndinterestshallbecomedueandpayableandopertofsuchFundshallbeusedforanyotherpurposethanhepaymentoftheprincipalofandinterestonsaidbondsTheulltithcreditandresourcesofthecityareherebyirrevocablypledgedfortheannuallevyandcollectionofsuchtaxesandthepromptpaymentofsuchprincipalandinterestSection8SaleofbondsTheCityClerkisherebyauthorizedanddirectedtoadvertisethesebondsforsaleinthemannerrequiredbylawanduponthesaleofsaidbondsthepropercityofficialsareherebyauthorleadanddirectedtodoeverythingnecessaryforthepromptissuanceanddeliveryofsaidbendsandfortheproperuseandapplicati0noftheproceedsofsuchsalelSection9CodereferenceAllsectionshereofshallbeconsideredofspecialeffecteffectiveonhe19thdayofApril19655PASSEDbytheCityCouncilonth12thdayofApril7iCLandsignedinaUthenticationofitspassagethesamedayMayorCityAtorney5Section10EffectivedateThisordinanceshallbecome1965
