0614CITYOFMEDINAORDINANCENO614ANORDINANCEAMENDINGMEDINAMUNICIPALCODESECTION1724010AND1728010TOADDNEWPROVISIONSREQUIRINGINCREASEDSIDEYARDSETBACKSFORLARGERLOTSANDREDUCINGLOTCOVERAGEFORSTRUCTURESINR20ANDR30ZONESANDAMENDINGMEDINAMUNICIPALCODESECTION1712010TOADDADDITIONALDEFINITIONSWHEREAStheMedinaPlanningCommissionandtheMedinaCityCouncilhavebeenstudyingforaperiodinexcessofsixyearsvariousmethodsofcontrollingthesizeandplacementofstructureswithintheCitytominimizeimpactsonneighborsandneighborhoodswhilestillallowingpropertyownerstoobtainthefullvalueoftheirpropertyandWHEREASnumerousproposalshavebeendiscussedatmultiplemeetingsandpublichearingsoftheMedinaPlanningCommissionandMedinaCityCouncilincludingtheproposalsadoptedbythisOrdinanceandWHEREAStheCityCouncilfindsthatchangesinltypicalresidentialconstructionwithintheCityhavehadsignificantnegativeimpactonadjoiningpropertiesandneighborhoodsandWHEREAStheCityCouncilfindsthatthechangesinsetbackandcoveragerequirementsproposedinthisOrdinancewillsignificantlyreducethenegativeimpactofconstructionoflargeresidenceswithoutundulyrestrictingtheabilityofpropertyownerstodeveloptheirpropertiesTHECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFMEDINAORDAINSASFOLLOWSSECTION1MMC1724010BDandEAMENDEDCREPEALEDANDFandGADDEDMedinaMunicipalCodeSections1724010BCDEandFandGareamendedrepealedoraddedtoreadasfollows
