HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 0221CITY OF MEDINA ORDINANCE NO. 221 AN ORDINANCE adopting a budget for the City of Medina, Washington for the year 1968 and fixing the amount of the taxes to be levied. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section I. 1968 Budget adopted. The budget of the City of Medina, Washington, as approved on the 2nd ay of October, 1967, for the year 1968, is adopted in the total amount of $231,737.00. Section 2. Salaries. Where salaries are itemized in the budget, such are annual appropriations payable at the rate of not more than 1/12th thereof per month for actual service as a city employee and according to the length thereof. Section 3. Appropriations. From the estimated revenues from all sources, the following amounts are hereby appropriated for expenditure in each of the following classifications during the budget year 1968. Salaries and Wages $ 51,330 Maintenance and operation 100,265 Capital outlay (including cumulative 46,995 reserves) Interest and debt redemption 33,147 (Expenditures proposed to be made from bond or warrant issues not yet authorized) - $231,737 Section 4. Amount to be raised by taxation. There is hereby fixed to be raised by general property taxes, the amount of 84,848.00; which amount, when added to the estimated revenues from all other sources, will balance estimated expenditures during the year 1968. Section 5. Tax levy. Clerk to transmit budget and certify amount. The clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of the budget to the office of the Auditor of the State of Washington, Division of Municipal Corporations, and also to certify the amount necessary to be raised by taxatation as above specified, to the County Commissioners of King County. Section 7. Code reference. All sections hereof shall be considered of temporary or special— a€fect.— Section B. Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect on October 9, 1967.
