HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 0452CITY OF MEDINA ORDINANCE NO. 452 AN ORDINANCE annexing certain real property to the City of Medina pursuant to the petition method. WHEREAS, a petition having been filed with the City Council of the City of Medina, signed by the owners of more than seventy five percent (75%) in value of the said land described in the petition, and WHEREAS, the City Council fixed the date of April 13, 1987 as the date of public hearing thereon and caused due and proper notice of said hearing to be posted and published, and WHEREAS, the King County Boundary Review Board on July 9, 1987 waived review of the proposed annexation, as provided for in R.C.W. 36.93.110, and WHEREAS, the property described herein shall be governed by zoning and land use regulations provided for in R-20 Land Use Districts as provided by Medina City Code Section 5-1.12 which defines the R-20 Land Use District as all land within the City of Medina not otherwise classified, and WHEREAS, the City Council having found that it is for the best interest of the City that all of the property described in said petition should be annexed to and become a part of the City of Medina, effective immediately upon the effective date of this ordinance, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The property described in Exhibit "A" which is attach e>1 reto and hereby incorporated by reference, being situated in an unincorporated area of the County of King, State of Washington, and being contiguous, proximate and adjacent to the present corporate limits of the City of Medina, be and the same is hereby annexed to and incorporated into the City of Medina, and referred to as the N.E. Lake Washington Boulevard Annexation. Section 2: The property annexed by Section 1 of this ordinance Shull be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Medina, including assessments or taxes in payment of all of the outstanding indebtedness of the City contracted or incurred prior to, or existing on the effective date of this ordinance. Section 3: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect E vi a (5) days after its publication. LAKE WASHINGTON BOULEVARD ANNEXATION Area of Annexation: That portion of the North # of the South } of the SW } of Section 30, TWP 25 North, RGE 5 East, W.M, King County, Washington 1, .` described as follows: Beginning at the centerline intersection of NE Lake Washington Blvd. with the centerline of 88th Ave. NE, said point being on the common city limits of Bellevue and Medina; thence Northeasterly, Northwesterly and Northerly along the city limits of Bellevue as established by Bellevue Ordinance 774 to the South limits of ,Clyde Hill as established by Resolution 13924, said point being also the NE corner of Lot 7 Hillandale addition as recorded in Vol, 49 of Plats, pg. 94-95 records of said county; thence West along said city limits of Clyde Hill to its intersection with the city limits of Medina as established by Medina Ordinance 158, said point being also the centerline of NE Lake Wash- ington Blvd.; thence Southeasterly along said city limits of Medina to the point of beginning.
