HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 0844CITY OF MEDINA ORDINANCE NO. 844 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MEDINA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 836, 2009 BUDGET AND 2009 SALARY SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, the Medina City Council enacted Ordinance 836 on December 8, 2008, approving the budget for 2009; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the salary range for Finance Director, which increase could not be reasonably anticipated at the time of passage of Ordinance 836; and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been approved at least five days after its introduction as required by RCW 35A.33.090; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance 836 is hereby amended to set the 2009 salary range for the Finance Director shall be as follows: Minimum Midpoint Maximum $6,400.00 $7,350.00 $8,300.00 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to make any transfers necessary to carry out the terms of this ordinance. SECTION 3. The effective date of this ordinance shall be (5) days after its publication of a summary of its intent and contents. PASSED BY AT LEAST ONE MORE THAN A MAJORITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL ON THIS 13 DAY OF JULY, 2009, AND SIGNED IN AUTHENTICATION OF ITS PASSAGE THE 13 DAY OF JULY, 2009.
