RESOLUTION NO. 7_
A RESOLUTION designating Seattle -King County, Department of Health as
agent to make PLUMRIZG and S4IIITARY II`SPECTIONS for the City of iiedina.
WH :R"r:AS the Seattle -King County Department of Health has superior
facilities for plumbing and sanitary inspection, and
WHEREAS problems of health are independent of Municipal boundaries;
Few therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF :,�PMIIPA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Health Regulations: That Health Regulations, in accordance
with Section 5-10.07 of the official Code of the City of Medina, Washington
as follows: "The Rules and Regulations of the State Board of Health", Hook
v and latest amendments thereto or revisions thereof are hereby adopted and.
incornorated herein by this reference as if fully set forth, and whenever
applicable, shall control all building in the City of Medina.° govern
Seattle -Xing County, Department of Health as agent for the City of Medina
in the issuance of permits when recuired and in all health inspections.
Section 2. Plumbing: That the Plumbing Regulations in accordance
with Section 5-10.05 of the official code of the City of Ltedina, Washington
as follows: "The Report of the Coordinating Committee for a National Plumb-
ing Code" June 1951 (Domestic Commerce Series No. 28) issued jointly by
the.U.S. Department of Commerce (National Production Authority) and -0as-
ing and Finance Agency, Washington 25, D.C. and the latest amendments thereto
or revisions thereof, is hereby adopted and iacornorated herein bar this
reference as if fully set forth, and shall control all buildings as to
plumbing in the City of Medina" govern Seattle -Xing County, Department Of
Health as agent for the City of Medina in the issuance of permits and conduct
of plumbing inspection.
Section 3. Sanitary Drainage System (Including Septic Tanks); That the
Seattle -King County Department of Health is designated as the official
agency for the City of :3edina for the issuance of hermits and conduct of
inspections required for Sanitary Drainage installations in the City of
1{edin�, Washington as required by Section 7-7.04 of the Medina Code.
Section 4. Fee®: That all fees collected for issuance of permits
under Sections 1, 2, fne, 3 of this Resolution No. _� be ret-`ined
by Seattle -ring County, Denartment of Health as full comensation for its
services thereunder.
Section 5. Litigation: In the event of litigation arising from enforce-
ment of or any violation of, any section of the Medina Code under the authority
of this Resolution, that liti_s.tion be referred to the City of Medina. for
prosecution or defense.
The Resolution adopted the 17th day of April 1956.
