A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City
of Medina, Washington, declaring the
intention of the City Council to im-
prove certain areas within the city
by the construction and installation
of streets, storm drains and sidewalk
improvements and by doing all work
necessary in connection therewith;
declaring the intention of the City
Council to create a local improvement
district; and fixing a time, date and
place for the hearing on this resolu-
tion of intention.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Wadhly4mlan$ as follows:
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Medina, Washington, to order the improvement of the ,
area within the city bounded as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 16,
Herron's Addition, according to plat thereof recorded
in Volume 21 of plats, page 53, records of King County,
Washington;
Thence Southerly along the east line of Lots 1 to 8
inclusive to a point 15 feet north of the south line
of Lot 8;
Thence Easterly parallel to the south line of Lot 13 to
the east line of said Lot 13;
Thence Southerly to the southeast corner of Lot 11;
Thence Southerly to the northeast corner of Lot 20,
Block 15, Herron's Addition;
Thence Southerly along the east line of Lots 20,. 19 and
18 to a point 15 feet south of the north line of Lot 18;
Thence Westerly along a line parallel to and 15 feet
south of said north line of Lot 18 to the west line of
said Lot 18;
Thence Southerly along the east line of Lots 3 to 10
inclusive to the southeast corner of said Lot 10;
Thence Westerly along the south line of said Lot 10 to
the southwest corner thereof;
Thence Westerly to the southeast corner of Lot 11,
Block 10, Herron's Addition;
Thence Westerly along the south line of said Lot 11 to
the southwest corner thereof;
Thence Northerly along the west line of Lots 11 to 20
inclusive to the northwest corner of Lot 20;
Thence Northerly to the southwest corner of Lot 11,
Block 9, Herron's Addition;
Thence Northerly along the west line of Lots 11 to 20
inclusive to the northwest corner of Lot 20;
Thence Easterly along the north line of said Lot 20 to
the northeast corner thereof;
Thence Easterly to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block
16, Herron's Addition;
Thence Easterly along the north line of said Lot 1 to
the point of beginning;
by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete surfacing 79th Avenue
N. E. from N. E. 24th Street to N. E. 28th Street and N. E. 26th
Street from 79th Avenue N. E. to 80th Avenue N. E., and by con-
structing and installing a concrete sidewalk on 79th Avenue N. E.
from N. E. 24th Street to N. E. 28th Street. Said improvements
shall include the acquisition of all necessary rights -of -way.
Section 2. That it is the intention of the City Council
of the City of Medina, Washington, to order the improvement of the
area within the town bounded as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1,
Medina Manor Addition according to plat thereof recorded
in Volume 48 of plats, page 4, records of King County,
Washington;
Thence Northerly along the east line of said plat of
Medina Manor Addition to the southeast corner of Lot
34;
Thence Westerly along the north line of Lots 19 to 24
inclusive and the Westerly extension thereof to its
intersection with the west line of Lot 26;
Thence Southerly along the west line of Lots 26 and
25 and Lot 17, Block 2, Medina Manor Addition to the
southwest corner of said Lot 17;

Thence Easterly along the south line of Lots 17 and 16
to the southeast corner of said Lot 16;
Thence Southerly along the east line of Lots 18 to 24
inclusive of Medina Manor Addition No. 2, according to
plat thereof recorded in Volume 51 of plsts,page 10,
records of King County, Washington to the southeast
corner of said Lot 24;
Thence Southeasterly along the southwest line of Lots
4 and 3, Block 2, Medina Manor Addition, to the south-
east corner of said Lot 3;
Thence Southerly along the west line of Lot 32 to the
southwest corner of said Lot 32;
Thence Easterly along the south line of Lots 32 and
33 and along the south line of Lot 1, Block 1, Medina
Manor Addition to the point of beginning;
by'grading and paving with asphaltic concrete surfacing N. E. 27th
Street and 82nd Avenue N. E. from 80th Avenue N. E. to N. E. 24th
Street and N. E. 26th Street from 82nd Avenue N. E. southeasterly
a distance of approximately 200 feet and by installing necessary
drainage facilities. Said improvements shall include the acquisi-
tion of all necessary rights -of -way.
Section 3• All persons who may desire to object thereto
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a
meeting of the City Council to be held at the City Hall in the City
of Medina, Washington, at r ;pa o'clock __P_.M. on the JI/
day of ta-ii-i✓, , 1966, which time and place are hereby
fixed for hearing of matters relating to said improvements and all
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment of said
improvements.

Section 4. The City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the Council at or prior to the date fixed for such hearing a
statement of the estimated cost and expense of the improvements in
each area, a statement of the proportionate amount thereof which
should be borne by the property within the proposed assessment

district in each area, a statement in detail of the local improve—
ment district assessments outstanding and unpaid against the
property in the proposed district, and a statement of the aggregate
actual valuation of the real estate, including 25% of the actual
valuation of the improvements in each area of the proposed district
according to the valuation last placed upon it for the purposes of
general taxation, together with a diagram or print showing thereon
the lots, tracts, parcels of land and other property which will be
specially benefited by said improvements and the estimated amount
of the cost and expense of such improvements to be borne by each
such lot, tract, parcel of land or other property.
Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of said hearing by publication of this resolution in at
least two consecutive issues of a newspaper of general circulation

within the city, with the date of the first publication to be at
least fifteen days prior to the date of such hearing, and to mail
a notice of such hearing, setting forth the nature of the proposed
improvements, the total estimated cost, the estimated benefits to
the particular lots, tracts or parcels of land and the time and date
of such hearing, at least fifteen days prior to the date thereof, to
each owner or reputed owner of any lot, tract., parcel of land or
other property to be specially benefited by said improvements at
the addresses shown on the tax rolls of the County Treasurer.
PASSED by the Council of the City of Medina, Washington,
