HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 073CITY OF MEDINA 73 RESOLUTION NO. 93 A RESOLUTION requiring the Medina Heights area to assume its share of the City's bonded indebtedness if annexed to the City. WHEREAS owners of property comprising 10% or more of the assessed valuation of the area known as Medina Heights, having affixed their signa- tures to a notice to the Medina City Council to commence annexation proceedings and, WHEREAS the Medina City Council having met with said initiating parties on January 28, 1967 to determine whether the City will accept the proposed annexation, and whether it shall require the assumption of indebtedness in accordance with Chapter 35.13.125 RCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Medina will accept annexation of the area known as Medina Heights, and described more fully in the notice of the initiating parties, that since Medina levels of taxation in recent years, for all purposes, have been and are now below those levied by King County in the area proposed for annexation, and equal to or below the ordinary 15 mill levy of a city, that the residents be asked to assume, pro rate, the area's share of existing indebtedness (all bonded) of a City. THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 28th day of January, 1967.
