RESOLUTION NO. 86
A RESOLUTION in regard to L.I.D. No. 2 for the improvement of a certain
area within the city by the paving with asphaltic concrete and installing necessary
drainage facilities, the area generally described as N.E. 26th Street between 79th
and 80th Avenues N.E. and 79th Avenue N.E. between 24th and 28th Streets; and
authorizing payment to contractor and other miscellaneous expenses.
WHEREAS the City Council did on July 10, 1967 pass Ordinance No. 218 for
the improvement of an area generally described as N.E. 26th Street between 79th and
80th Avenues N.E. and 79th Avenue N.E. between 24th and 28th Streets, by paving
with asphaltic concrete and installing necessary drainage facilities, and did create
Local Improvement District No. 2 therefor; and
WHEREAS a contract has been let for the installation of drainage facilities,
and a second contract let for the paving work for the above entitlos public works
project, and the City Engineer has, in writing and under date of July 5, 1968
approved and recommended payment number one to Sea-Tac Asphalt Inc., being the sum
of $10,776.01 and engineering charges in the amount of $976.80,
AND WHEREAS it is necessary to issue L.I.D. warrants in payment thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that the administrative personnel and proper officials, for and on behalf of the
City of Medina, proceed with the issuance of Local Improvement District warrants in
the amount of $11,752.81 to bear interest in accordance with the bid and contract
of the Pacific National Bank, contract purchaser of the warrants in the financing of
said project.
