HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 181CITY OF MEDINA, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 181 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA CHANGING THE WORDING OF THE TAX RATE PROPOSITION IN THE NOVEMBER 4, 1986 BALLOT. WHEREAS, the King County Prosecutor has recommended a change in the wording of the tax rate proposition to be submitted to Medina voters on November 4, 1986, and WHEREAS, the new wording will make it clear when the tax would be levied and collected. NOW THEREFORE, the City of Medina hereby resolves as follows: The ballot wording for proposition No. 1 on the November 4, 1986 election shall be read as follows: PROPOSITION NO. 1 AUTHORIZING PROPERTY TAX LEVY Shall the City of Medina, Washington, be authorized to increase its regular property tax levy rate to $1.93 per $1,000 of assessed valuation to be levied initially in 1986 for collection in 1987? (This shall not be construed to authorize an excess levy and shall be subject to otherwise applicable statutory limits.) YES Id Passed by affirmative votes of a majority of the City Council on the 13th day of October, 1986, and signed in authentication of such passage the same day. Mayor H. E.
