HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 225RESOLUTION NO. 225 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA ADOPTING A REVISED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Whereas, the Washington State Legislature has passed the Growth Management Act which requires all jurisdictions in King County to prepare comprehensive plans in accordance with its requirements; and Whereas, the Medina Planning Commission has recommended adoption of a revised comprehensive plan; and Whereas, the proposed comprehensive plan has been developed in cooperation with neighboring jurisdictions; and Whereas, citizen involvement has been actively encouraged ( through numerous public hearings and community meetings conducted by the Medina Planning Commission; and Whereas, the Medina City Council has conducted a joint workshop with the Medina Planning Commission and has held two public hearings on the proposed comprehensive plan; Whereas; the City sought and received comments on the proposed comprehensive plan from the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development and has revised portions of the comprehensive plan in light of the comments received. Now, Therefore, the City Council of the City of Medina, Washington, do resolve as follows: The City of Medina Comprehensive Plan, Final Draft -May 9, 1994 is hereby adopted as the comprehensive plan for the City of Medina. Passed by a majority of the total members of the Medina City Council in regular, open meeting this 9th day of May, 1994, and signed in authentication of its passage this 9th day of May, 1994.
