HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 264RESOLUTION NO. 264 A resolution of the City Council of the City of Medina authorizing the settlement of litigation. WHEREAS, the City of Medina initiated litigation against Charles Simonyi and Charles and Yvonne Pigott on September 30, 1998, in order to resolve disputes concerning ownership of land at the southern terminus of 84th Avenue N.E., and WHEREAS, the parties to the action have negotiated a settlement which will clarify the City's ownership interest in the disputed portions of 84th Avenue N.E. and increase the width of the City's access at the waterfront of Lake Washington from 15 feet to 27.5 feet, and WHEREAS the City Council finds that entering into the settlement agreement submitted to the Council this date is in the best interest of the City of Medina. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Medina, Washington, does resolve as follows: RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into and execute the settlement agreement presented to the City Council and the City Manager is authorized to execute quit claim deeds in the form attached to the settlement agreement.
