HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 274CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 274 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA DESIGNATING BUILDINGS OF HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE IN THE CITY OF MEDINA. WHEREAS the protection, enhancement, perpetuation and use of buildings of historic significance located in the City of Medina is necessary in the interest of the civic pride and general welfare of the people of the City of Medina, and WHEREAS the City of Medina intends to enact an ordinance providing for preservation of buildings of historic significance, and WHEREAS the two buildings of obvious historic significance, both of which are visible from public roads within the City and both of which have long been noted for their historic significance in the Medina Comprehensive Plan are the Medina Grocery and the Medina City Hall. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Medina, Washington, does resolve as follows: RESOLVED that the Medina City Hall located at 501 Evergreen Point Road, Medina, Washington and the Medina Grocery, located 802 Evergreen Point Road, Medina, Washington, are hereby declared to be historic landmarks. Passed by the Medina City Council this 20th day of November, 2000 and signed in authentication of its passage this 20tn day of November, 2000.
