HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-26-2012 - Minutes MEDINA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES St. Thomas Church, Conference Room 8398 Northeast 12 Street, Medina Monday, March 26, 2012; 4:00 pm CALL TO ORDER The March 26, 2012 Special Meeting of the Medina City Council was noticed pursuant to RCW 42.30.080. The meeting was called to order at 4:04 pm. ROLL CALL Council Members Present: Patrick Boyd, Jay Decker, Doug Dicharry, Janie Lee, Michael Luis, and Katie Phelps Council Members Absent: David Lee City Staff Present: Donna Hanson, City Manager; Mark Thomas, Police Chief; Robert Grumbach, Development Services Director; Joe Willis, Public Works Director; Nancy, Adams, Finance Director; and Rachel Baker, City Clerk (left meeting at 6:00 pm) DISCUSSION Department Work Plans Department directors presented 2012 work plans outlining ongoing day to day services, one time projects included in the current budget, and challenges which will need to be addressed in 2012. Council Vision/Strategic Goals Minor changes to goals were suggested by council and will be placed on April 9 consent agenda for adoption. The seven overarching strategic goals for the City did not change. Council Committees Council committees were selected as follows: Personnel Committee: Janie Lee, Michael Luis, Katie Phelps Public Works/Facilities Committee: Jay Decker, David Lee, Michael Luis Budget/Finance – Patrick Boyd, Doug Dicharry, Michael Luis City Council Minutes Page 2 March 26, 2012 ADJOURNMENT MOTION AND SECOND TO ADJOURN THE MARCH 26, 2012 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MEDINA CITY COUNCIL. MOTION CARRIED 6-0 AT 7:24 PM. The March 26, 2012 Special Meeting of the Medina City Council adjourned at 7:24 pm. The Medina City Council will hold its next Regular Meeting on Monday, April 9, 2012, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Medina City Hall, 501 Evergreen Point Road, Medina.
